NEWS ARCHIVES Changes/developments within the UK
locomotive fleet are recorded in the news sections
of the site. The latest news and recent news pages
record the changes as they happen, usually on a day
to day basis. The site's comprehensive news archives
stretch back to 1999 when the site was first set up
as 'End of the Line - Withdrawn & Stored Locomotives
UK'. |

SITE UPDATES Keep track of which sections of
the site have been updated and when they have been
updated including what material has been added to the
site per day. |

WNXX INTERACTIVE WEB FORUM The forum (the link opens in a new window) is a
hive of activity and a mine of information as well
as providing a home for discussion and questions
asking/answering. |

schedules area of the site times
for tours and special movements are listed in
advance. |

PAINT & PLATES Paint & plates
details recent repaints and/or names applied to
locomotives. |

SOCIAL MEDIA WNXX has its own
presence on Facebook and Twitter which can be
viewed in the social media area. The Twitter
feed is also embedded in the latest news page
and can be used to route time sensitive
information or news from elsewhere directly into
the news page. |

MAILING LIST The wnxx mailing
list is a normal Google group list
but which has a searchable archive section embedded
in
the site. |
Data & Reference |

FLEET STATUS The backbone of the site is
locomotive data. The current status of the entire UK
fleet fleet including operational locomotives,
stored and withdrawn locomotives, industrial,
preserved, heritage and private owner locomotives is
recorded in fleet status. The UK locomotive database
is updated daily/as changes take place while the
fleet status database itself is made available to download
approximately monthly. |

STORAGE LISTS,
STORAGE LOCATIONS Any changes, movements, additions to store or
reinstatements to traffic and disposals, involving the
many stored/withdrawn locomotives in the UK are tracked
in the storage lists and storage locations sections. |

RSL/STOCK CHANGES,
POOL CODES Locomotive pool allocations reallocations are
recorded in the RSL/stock changes area whilst the
pool codes page lists the current pool allocations
and their descriptions for reference. |
 |
DISPOSALS A reference section listing the disposal details
for the modern era (post steam) locomotives scrapped
or which have passed on into preservation/private
ownership or which have been shipped abroad is
provided in the disposals area of the site. |

NUMBERS A guide and reference section detailing the
numbers carried by post steam era diesel and
electric locomotives both in the D series and TOPS
is available in the numbers section. |

STATS & REVIEW In the stats &
review area changes to the UK fleet such as
locomotives to/from store,
registrations/de-registrations,
disposals/exports etc. are recorded along with a
graphic record showing the changes with the
stored locomotives totals. |

STORED/WITHDRAWN LOCOMOTIVES GALLERY The 'Scrap Locomotive' gallery (long overdue for
modernising) depicts collections of locomotives
either withdrawn or in store, mostly awaiting their
fate. |
